What are superlative adjectives in English? Learn in Hindi. Superlative Adjectives को समझना है तो सबसे पहले आपको Adjectives & Degree of Adjectives को समझना होगा. Adjectives के बारे में आपको जानकारी है कि – जो शब्द Noun अथवा Pronoun की विशेषता को बताते हैं , उन्हें Adjectives कहते हैं. (Noun के विषय में कहे गए शब्द Adjectives होते हैं.) जैसे – Ram छोटा है, श्याम बड़ा है, राधा खूबसूरत है. यंहा पर छोटा , बड़ा और खूबसूरत ये सभी शब्द Adjective हैं.
Superlative Adjectives are used to compare more than 2 nouns. It is also used to compare one thing against the rest of a group.
Degree of Adjective:-
दोस्तों जब किसी Noun / Pronoun की तुलना किसी अन्य Noun / Pronoun से की जाती है तब Comparision की बात आती है. जिसे हम Degree of Comparision or Degree of Adjectives कहते हैं.
दोस्तों याद रहे, किसी भी प्रकार के Comparision का आधार सदैव Adjectives होता है. और इस Adjective को तीन भागों में बाँटा गया है ,जिसे हमे Degree of Adjectives कहते हैं. ये कुछ इस प्रकार से हैं – Positive , Comparative & Superlative Degree. जैसे –

Positive Degree:- जब Noun/Pronoun की कोई विशेषता बताई जा रही ही लेकिन किसी से किसी प्रकार की तुलना न की गयी हो. जैसे –
- Ram is a good man.
- Sheeta is a beautiful girl.
- The market is too close to my house.
Comparative Degree:- जब Noun/Pronoun की तुलना दो की बीच की गयी हो तो उसे Comparative Degree of Adjective कहते हैं. जैसे –
- Rahul is better than Sunil.
- Sita is more beautiful than Rita.
- Ram is too younger than Ravan.
Superlative Degree:- जब Noun/Pronoun की तुलना अन्य सभी से की गयी हो तो उसे Superlative Degree of Adjectives कहते हैं.
- Sita is the most beautiful girl in the school.
- Sunil is the most handsome boy in the class.
- Sachin is the greatest player in India.

Superlative Adjectives:-
Superlative Adjectives का use किसी Noun/Pronoun के गुण को सबसे बेहतर या सबसे ख़राब , सबसे अच्छा या सबसे बुरा दिखाने के लिए किया जाता है. जैसे –
- She is the tallest girl in the class.
- My car is the newest in my colony.
- Heena’s family is the poorest in the village.
जब दो या उससे अधिक ( व्यक्तियों , स्थान , या वस्तुओं ) में से किसी एक एक गुण को आधार बनाकर उसे सबसे बेहतर या ख़राब बताया जाता है , तब उसे Superlative Adjectives ya Superlative Degree कहते हैं.
Formation of Superlative Adjectives:-
Regular Superlative Adjective:-
ऐसे Adjectives जो एक Syllable के होते हैं, उनके अंत में “est” add करके Superlative Adjective बनाया जाता है. जैसे –
- Fast – Faster – Fastest ⇒ She is the fastest girl in the class.
- Cheap – Cheaper – Cheapest ⇒ It is the cheapest bike in the market.
- Fresh – Fresher – Freshest ⇒ This bakery sells the freshest bread in town.
- Big – Bigger – Biggest ⇒ That is the biggest house in the area.
- Sad – Sadder – Saddest ⇒ That was the saddest movie I have ever seen.

यंहा One Syllable or Two Syllable का क्या अर्थ है?
Syllable एक ऐसे Sound unit को कहते हैं जो कि एक Word का एक Part होता है जो कि एक साथ बोला जाता है. जैसे – Dog, Man, Run, Fast. ऐसे Words को one syllable word कहते हैं.
इसी तरह Two or more than Syllable Words भी होते हैं , जैसे –
- Apple = Ap+ ple
- Beautiful = Beau + ti + ful
- Difficult = Diffi + cult
ऐसे Adjectives जो दो या उससे ज्यादा Syllable के होते हैं, उनके शुरुवात में “most” add करके Superlative Adjective बनाया जाता है. जैसे –
- Beautiful – More Beautiful – Most Beautiful ⇒ She is the most beautiful girl at the party.
- Expensive – More Expensive – Most Expensive ⇒This is the most expensive car in the showroom.
- Difficult – More Difficult – Most Difficult ⇒ This is the most difficult exam I have ever taken.
Irregular Superlative Adjectives:-
कुछ Adjectives ऐसे भी होते हैं , जिनके लिए कोई permanent rules नहीं होता है. जैसे –
- Good – Better – Best ⇒ This is the best book I have ever read.
- Bad – Worst – Worst ⇒ That was the worst movie I have ever seen.
- Little – Less – Least ⇒ She has the least amount of money among her friends.
