English Sentences अथवा Paragraph में Noun Word का बार – बार प्रयोग करना उचित नहीं माना जाता है. Noun जिसे Hindi Language में “संज्ञा” कहते हैं इसके बार-बार प्रयोग से वाक्य की सुंदरता बिगड़ जाती है और पढ़ने वाले को भी अच्छा नहीं लगता है. इसलिए इस कमी को दूर करने के लिए Noun के स्थान पर Pronoun (सर्वनाम ) शब्द का प्रयोग किया जाता है. Interrogative Pronouns:-

हिंदी भाषा में इसे “प्रश्नवाचक सर्वनाम” कहते हैं. It is used to ask questions, it refers to something or someone. There are 5 Interrogative Pronouns in the English Language: What, Who, Whose, Whome & Which.

इसका प्रयोग प्रश्न पूछने के लिए किया जाता है, यह किसी वस्तु या व्यक्ति को संदर्भित करता है. English Language में 5 Interrogative Pronouns होते हैं: What, Who, Whose, Whome & Which.

What is an Interrogative Pronouns?

The 5 WH words used for asking questions are called Interrogative Pronouns. These words are: What, Who, Whose, Whome and Which.

Interrogative का अर्थ “प्रश्न” करने से है. जिन WH शब्दों से Question पूछने के उपरांत किसी Noun (व्यक्ति, वस्तु) के बारे में उत्तर मिलता है तो ऐसे Words को Interrogative Words कहते हैं. जैसे – What, Who, Whome, Which , Why, Where etc.

याद रहे, Noun को ध्यान में रखते हुए जिन शब्दों का प्रयोग प्रश्न करने के लिए किया जाता है , उन्हें Interrogative Pronouns कहते हैं. जैसे – What, Who, Whose, Whome & Which.

Examples:-

Who is our new driver? 👉 Ramlal is our new driver.

यंहा पर “Who” का प्रयोग यह जानने के लिए किया गया है कि “Driver कौन है ?” और Driver Ramlal जो एक Noun है.

Definition of an Interrogative Pronouns:-

Those pronouns used to ask questions from the perspective of Noun is called Interrogative Pronoun. These words are What, Who, Whom, Whose & Which.

ऐसे Words जिससे प्रश्न करने के उपरांत किसी व्यक्ति, वस्तु आदि के बारे में उत्तर मिलता है ,और वे Noun होते हैं तो उसे Interrogative Pronouns कहा जाता है.

How to Use Interrogative Pronouns?

Question करने के लिए अक्सर What, Who, Why, Where, Whome, Hou, Whose इत्यादि का प्रयोग किया जाता है. इन शब्दों को WH word भी कहा जाता है. इनमे से सिर्फ 5 WH word ऐसे हैं जिनका प्रयोग Noun के परिपेक्ष में होता है इसलिए इन 5 WH word को Interrogative Pronoun कहा जाता है.

हर Interrogative Pronouns का प्रयोग किसी विशेष चीज या व्यक्ति के बारे में Direct or Indirect प्रश्न करने के लिए किया जाता है. Who, Whom, & Whose यह लोगों /व्यक्ति के संदर्भ में जबकि What & Which का प्रयोग चीजों अथवा वस्तुओं के संदर्भ में किया जाता है. इनका प्रयोग कैसे होता है यह हम निचे दिए Examples से समझते हैं.

What:- क्या

इसका प्रयोग किसी चीज /वस्तु के बारे में पूछने के लिए अथवा पता लगाने के लिए होता है. जैसे –

What is your name? 👉 My name is Rita.
What is your car’s colour? 👉 My car’s colour is red.
What do you use for going to the office? 👉 I am using a bike.

Who:- कौन

इसका प्रयोग किसी व्यक्ति के बारे में पूछने के लिए अथवा पता लगाने के लिए किया जाता है. जैसे –

Who is calling you? 👉 Sameer is calling me.
Who is your favourite cricketer? 👉 Surya Kumar is my favourite cricketer.
Who is your class teacher? 👉 Mr. Despande is my class teacher.
Who is that girl? 👉 That girl was my sister.

Whom:- किसे / किसको

Whome का अर्थ होता है – किसे/किसको. इसका प्रयोग Object ( व्यक्ति या वस्तु ) का पता करने के लिए होता है.

Whom did Rita pick up from the station today? 👉 Rita picked up Geeta from the station today.
To whom did you invite to the party last night? 👉 I invited Mr Sachin to the party last night.
To whom did you lend your umbrella? 👉 I lend my umbrella to my college friend Rahul.
Whom did they shoot? 👉 They shot a boy in her car.

Whose:- किसका

Whose का हिंदी अर्थ होता है – किसका. इसका प्रयोग किसी व्यक्ति / लोग के बारे में जानने के लिए किया जाता है.

Whose extra burden can you share? 👉My friend Nikhil’s burden I can share.
Whose is the black bag? 👉 That black bag is my mom’s.
Whose is the guy standing next to Sachin Tendulkar? 👉 K.L Rahul is standing next to Sachin Tendulkar.
Whose is that handbag? 👉 That handbag is Mr Rupkumar’s.

Which:- कौन सी / कैसी

Which का प्रयोग किसी व्यक्ति अथवा चीज के बारे में जानने के लिए किया जाता है.

Which is my book? 👉 That book which is kept on the table is your book.
Which book do you love more for reading? 👉 I like the “Rich Dad & Poor Dad” book for reading.
Which parent do you love more? Your father or your mother? 👉 I like my “Mother“.
Of all these brand names, which are the best quality? Of all these brand names ” Nike” is the best quality.
Which share should I buy for the long term? You should buy “Tata Motors“.
