Alphabet :

Alphabet को हिंदी में वर्णमाला कहते हैं. जिस प्रकार हिंदी भाषा में कुल 52 वर्ण होते हैं वैसे ही English भाषा में कुल 26 वर्ण होते हैं . वर्ण हिंदी शब्द है इसे English में Letter कहते हैं. इसलिए English Alphabet में कुल 26 Letters होते हैं.

Alphabet एक Lattin शब्द है और यह Alpha + Beta के सयुंक्त से बना है. Enlish Alphabet की उत्पत्ति पूर्ण रूप से Lattin Alphabet से ही है.

English Alphabet को प्रमुखतः 2 प्रकार से लिखा जाता है , जिसे हमे Capital Letter & Small Letter . Capital Letters को Upper case जबकि Small Letters को Lower Case भी कहा जाता है .

Letter :

English Alphabet में कुल 26 Letters होते हैं. जिन्हे 2 प्रकार से लिखा जा सकता है। पहला प्रकार को Capiltal Letter or Big letter और दूसरा प्रकार Small Letter or Lower Letters कहते हैं.

Uses of Capital Letters in Sentences:

The first letter of the first word of the sentence is always in capital letters. like – Divya is going to market.
And some are used for acronyms (abbreviations) like NATO ( North Atlantic Treaty Organisation).
The first letter of a proper noun (such as a person’s name) is always in capital letters. Like Ramesh, Nagpur, and Cochin.

Uses of Small Letters:-

Capital letter की तरह small letter को लिखने का कोई खास rules & regulations नहीं होता है. बस यूँ जान लीजिये कि English Writing में Capital letter के ठीक उल्टा Small letter को लिखने में किया जाता है. जैसे –

किसी भी sentence की शुरुवात का first work का first letter Capital होगा लेकिन बाकी के letter Small letter होंगे.
किसी भी Noun का First letter Capital Letter होगा जबकि बाकी के letter Small Letter होंगे.

Vowels:

In the English alphabet, there are five vowel letters. A, E, I, O, and U. These letters represent the sounds that are typically referred to as “vowels.”

Voweles को हिंदी में “स्वर” कहते हैं.
