English Speaking or Writing में Much and Many शब्द का प्रयोग अक्सर होते रहता है. लेकिन बहुत से लोगों को इनके uses के बारे में सही जानकारी नहीं होती है. उन्हें यह नहीं पता होता है कि कब Much का और कब Many का प्रयोग करना होता है. इस Post में हमे “How much and How many” के बीच का Differance भी पता चल जायेगा. इसका प्रयोग कब और कैसे किया जाता है, इसकी भी जानकारी हम पढ़ेंगे.
How Much and How Many:
Before understanding How much and How many, we should understand the right meaning of Much & Many. Much and Many both words are usable for counting purposes.
“Much” is used, when we are talking about the quantity or amount of something non-countable. The “Much” word is used for non-countable nouns.
“Many” is used, when we are talking about the quantity or amount of something countable. The “Many” word is used for countable nouns.
“How many and How much” are used to ask about the quantity of something. We use ‘how much’ with uncountable nouns while “how many” for countable nouns.
How Much:
Much का हिंदी अर्थ होता है “बहुत” या “बहुत सारा”. जब हम किसी चीज की Quantity या Amount की बात करते हैं जो कि Countable नहीं होती है तब Much शब्द का प्रयोग करते हैं. जैसे –
- How much water do you need?
- There is not much milk in the glass.
- I don’t have much free time in these days.
- How much petrol is needed for your bikes in that rally?
- How much patience do you have left?
- How much sugar do you need for tea?
इसी तरह How much का प्रयोग तब किया जाता है जब हम किसी चीज की Quantity or Amount के बारे में पूछते हैं जो कि Uncountable होती है.
How Many:
Many का हिंदी अर्थ होता है “बहुत” या “बहुत सारा”. जब हम किसी चीज की Quantity या Amount की बात करते हैं जो कि Countable होती है तब Many शब्द का प्रयोग करते हैं.
इसी तरह How many का प्रयोग तब किया जाता है जब हम किसी चीज की Quantity or Amount के बारे में पूछते हैं जो कि countable होती है. जैसे –
- How many apples are on the table?
- How many friends do you have?
- How many years you are old?
- How many teachers are in your school?
- How many languages can you speak?
