आपके आस -पास की जितने भी चीजे हैं और जिन्हे आप अपने Five Sense से महसूस कर सकते हैं, या उन्हें पहचान सकते हैं, वे सभी Concrete Nouns होते हैं. Five Senses का मतलब Sight ( देखना ), Smell (सूंघना), Touch (छूना), Hearing (सुनना ), और Taste (स्वाद) से है. Concrete को “कंक्रीट” पढ़ा जाता है, इसका Hindi अर्थ “ठोस” होता है. इसलिए Concrete Nouns को हिंदी में “ठोस संज्ञा” कहते हैं.
What are Concrete Nouns?
जिस भी चीज को हम किसी नाम से पुकारते हैं , वह Noun होता है. जैसे घड़ी, पंखा, लाइट, ट्रैन, समय, Sunday, Monday, लड़का, लड़की इत्यादि. इसी प्रकार वह Noun जिसे हम अपनी पांच ज्ञानंइंद्रियों (Five Senses ) से पहचान सकें , उसे Concrete Noun कहते हैं.
अब ये Five Senses कौन कौन से हैं ? इसका उत्तर है – आँख , नाक , कान , मुंह और जीभ.
आँख से हम किसी भी वस्तु को देख सकते हैं , अतः इस तरह देखे जा सकने वाले सारे Nouns को हम Concrete Nouns कहेंगें. इसी प्रकार नाक से सुंघा जा सकता है, कान से सुना जा सकता है, मुंह से बोला जा सकता है और जीभ से स्वाद लिया जा सकता है, इस प्रकार के जितने भी Nouns हैं जिन्हे Five Senses से Perceived (महसूस ) किया जा सके वे सब Concrete Nouns होते हैं .
जैसे –
My home is made of bricks & cement. Mr. Arun Maurya makes it, he is an engineer. His home is near to my village.
ऊपर के Sentence को पढ़ेंगे तो आपको पता चलेगा कि, Home, Bricks, Cement, Mr. Arun Maurya, Engineer, और Village को देखा जा सकता है इसलिए ये सब Concrete Nouns हैं.

Definition of Concrete Nouns?
Any Noun which can be seen, smelled, touched, heard & taste is called Concrete Nouns.
A concrete noun is a noun that refers to a physical thing, person, or place. That can be perceived with the five senses.
In Hindi –
कोई भी Noun जिसे देखा, सूँघा, छुआ, सुना और चखा जा सकता है, Concrete Noun कहलाती है. or
Concrete Noun वह Noun है जो किसी Physical things (भौतिक वस्तु), Person (व्यक्ति) या Place (स्थान) का बोध कराती है और उसे Five Senses (पांच इंद्रियों) से महसूस किया जा सकता है. जैसे –
Pen, Pencil , Dog, Lion, Cow, Ramesh , Gandhi, Mumbai, Village, Home, Fan, Wife etc.
