पिछले Post में हमने Adjectives के बारे में काफी Details में पढ़ा था. English Grammar में यह एक Important Topic है. अगर आपको Grammar में थोड़ा बहुत भी Interest है तो आपको इसे जरूर जानना एवं समझना चाहिए. आज हम लोग इस Post में Attributive Adjective and Predicative Adjectives के बारे ( Attributive Adjective and Predicative Adjectives in Hindi ) में पढेंगें और इसे समझेंगें.
हम आगे बढ़ें , इससे पहले मैं आप लोगों को पुनः बताना चाहूंगा कि , किसी भी Sentence में Noun or Pronoun की विशेषता बताने वाले Word को Adjective कहते हैं. इसके Uses के हिसाब से ,इसके कई प्रकार होते हैं.
English Grammar में , Sentence में Adjective की Positions/Place के हिसाब से इसे दो भागों में बांटा गया है. जिसे हम Attributive Adjective and Predicative Adjective कहते हैं.
Attributive Adjective and Predicative Adjective:
वाक्य में Adjective की Position , Noun or Pronoun के हिसाब से होती है. यह या तो Noun or Pronoun के पहले होगा या फिर Noun Pronoun और Verb के बाद में होगा. अगर Adjective , Noun or Pronoun के पहले place है तो उसे Attributive Adjective कहते हैं. और यदि Adjective , Noun or Pronouun के बाद में है तो उसे Predicative Adjective कहते हैं.
Predicative Adjective, Noun or Pronoun के बाद तो होता ही है लेकिन किसी न किसी Verb or Helping Verb के बाद होता है. इसलिए इसे और भी आसान तरीके से कह सकते हैं कि –
Noun or Pronoun के पहले आने वाले Adjective को Attributive Adjective और Verb के बाद आने वाले Adjective को Predicative Adjective कहते हैं.
Attributive Adjective:
Adjectives, placed before the noun or pronoun in the sentence are called Attributive Adjectives.
Examples – ( Bold किये हुए Word, Adjective हैं और Underline किये हुए Word, Noun or Pronoun हैं )
- The old man was smoking a cigarette.
- Sachin is my favourite cricketer in the world.
- Happy children.
- Ganguly is a happy man.
Predicative Adjective:
Adjectives, placed after the noun or pronoun and followed by a linking verb in the sentence are called Attributive Adjectives. or
Adjectives, placed after the linking verb in the sentence are called Attributive Adjectives.
Examples:- ( Bold किये हुए Word, Adjective हैं , Underline किये हुए Word, Noun or Pronoun हैं और red color में Linking Verb है )
- That baby is cute.
- The children seem excited.
- His boyfriend was depressed after the occasion.
- That girl is afraid to talk to you.
