Pronunciation of C:
In English Language “C” is pronounced as “K (क) ” or “S (स) “. दोस्तों C का Pronunciation को समझने से पहले हम कुछ words को देखते हैं. जैसे Cat , Car , Core , Cute , Come , City , Cell, Cycle , Circle , Cement .
अब उपर्युक्त शब्दों का Pronunciation देखते हैं – Cat – कैट , Car – कार , Core – कोर , Cute – क्यूट , Come – कम , City – सिटी , Cell – सेल , Cycle – साइकिल , Circle – सर्कल , Cement – सीमेंट।
दोस्तों यंहा पर देख रहे होंगे कि कुछ words का pronunciation “क” से तो कुछ वर्ड्स का Pronunciation “स “ से हो रहा है. ऐसा क्यों ? आईये इसे आगे समझते हैं .
Rules of Pronunciation of C :
- यदि C के बाद Vowels E, I or Y Letter आते हैं तब C का उच्चारण ” S (स) “ होगा . जैसे – Cent – सेंत | City-सिटी . Cycle – साइकिल , Cinema – सिनेमा . Cyber – साइबर ,
- यदि C के बाद A , O , U or Any consonant letter आते हैं तो “K (क)” उच्चारण होगा . e.g – Cat – कैट , Cup – कप , Cone -कोन , Card – कार्ड , Crocodile – क्रोकोडाइल , Clinic – क्लिनिक.
Imp Note :
There are some exceptions to these rules, as English spelling and pronunciation can be quite irregular.
